Gemini Lighting Solutions (GLS) delivered a fully integrated lighting control system for the Stratford Waterfront Public Realm Redevelopment (PPRR). The extensive new landscaped site is a key strategic regeneration programme for the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) and includes a waterfront promenade, podium and street lighting, canopies, planters, ramps, gobos and a land bridge.
This complex array of lighting and control requirements called for a versatile and scalable technology, so Dynalite was the natural solution.

System features

The client required intelligent lighting that could be managed both on-site and remotely, with robust support for energy efficiency, ambient colour control, emergency monitoring and diverse connectivity types across a large, outdoor urban environment. GLS designed a responsive control system that balances aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability through DALI dimming (both broadcast and addressed), DMX colour shift and fade capabilities, trailing edge dimming, movement detection, and photocell controls. Dynalite’s flexible infrastructure allowed the integration of DyNet, DALI and IP networks, enabling seamless site-wide communication and system monitoring.
